Stability

Written by redop at 16:59 26/5-2011

Ejnar Nordby has been spotted by redop scouts has having very good potential for both hills and sprints just a week ago. Today he is in Belgium at a new team without racing even once for redop.
Its hard to say how a rider that has never raced needs to be replaced, but Derek Ruch has joined redop to be Ejnar's replacement. Described as an experienced solid teammate both in climbs and hills, it was decided he could serve the team best.

Kit Outram just joined the team. Rumors are that he has joined the team to be the replacement of Plácido Mourinho, or maybe Vicente Hoero... its hard to know which one is going to leave the team sooner, since both have been reported as soon to be ex-redop riders.
Also one replacement might not be enouph, so a new face might be expected in the next few days...

The point is, it cannot continue. Team morale is in a record low. Team spirit is the lowest of top division. Germany tour is soon and the team will loose a huge amount of points without any hopes of getting them back. Something has to change...

The team manager already prepared a plan to increase team stability that will be executed through the rest of the season.
"We have some strong names in the team, our leaders. They are well known and very respected, and this is what is saving the team from far worse performances. Everyone looks at VA, YY or Tuero and shows respect, even if he stays only a couple weeks at redop. However Karl Peters is suffering because he still does not have an impressive palmares like our other captains... and that's sad.

Our goal for the rest of the season is to 'clean the house'. We will have to make choices, select a group to stay with us a long time.
Since we are screwed already, we will transfer at will for some more time, but always with the goal to construct that core group.
Starting next season a semi-transfer embargo will be in place. We want to drastically reduce our rider turnover, increasing the team spirit and having high stability within the team.

I will be happy if in a season Vasco Assis can start a race knowing the name of all his teammates."

I'll have 5 downhill specialists with my Day
60 purchase of Sylven de Weerdt (Squffinator). I'm moving Bilal along so I don't have to worry about training him. Cuz Dudzik isn't getting any younger. lol

Good to hear that I will have one less opponent on the market :P but I've seen this coming, your team is wealthy enough to move towards 20+ trained riders, I hope to be there in a season :)
